I don’t think is what the kids mean by sneaky link! But…
As you know if you’ve been listening to the Launch Box series, one of the projects I undertook during the first two pandemic years was learning everything I could about self-publishing. When I started, I wasn’t entirely sure what I’d do with that knowledge, but pretty soon I had the idea that I wanted to write a little book about the things we talk about on This Creative Life.
Well, it’s done! 🎊
It still won’t be rolling out to all the platforms until 4/28, but I learned just this weekend that I can sell ebooks direct, and people who like ebooks but don’t love Big Tech companies can have their cake and eat it, too, knowing none of their dollars went to our overlords at Amazon, Google, and Apple.
So I’ve actually got the finished ebook live and up for sale on my site now, for those fond of instant gratification and also COUPONS.
🔗 This is the link: https://payhip.com/b/BxdKL (and you don’t really have to be sneaky - feel free to share it with anyone)
🤑 And this is the coupon code: 186JHZZOQY - use it at checkout for 30% off! Wow! This is also something you can share. It expires on 4/28! (But don’t be surprised if I keep offering special deals in this very newsletter.)
💻 Tech details: If you feel confident in your ability to get a downloaded ebook onto whatever app or device you like, you can use the “download now” option when you buy. I recommend waiting an extra few seconds for the BookFunnel email that will give you a special landing page with instructions and tech support. They do not make you make an account or save your email address! (But you can also still use “download now”—you’ll bet the BookFunnel email either way.)
Are you wondering what the heck is in this book?
If you use that link above, look for the thing in smallish blue type under the Buy Now button that says “Preview,” and you can take a gander at the table of contents and introduction.
Are you thinking, “Gee but I already pre-ordered at full price”?
You are my hero. 💖 If you want the deal, you can cancel your pre-order and use my direct option and coupon instead. Or do nothing and wake up on the 28th with your book as planned!
Are you waiting for the paperback?
It’s coming. It will come first onto the aforementioned Amazon, because they make it easiest and fastest. B&N should be not too far behind, as well as other retailers (including, once I get it all figured out, special order at your local bookstores). I’m waiting to hear back from various vendor support people about a few things regarding getting the paperback out in all the places. I’m also testing out Lulu’s mass market paperback printing and have sample copies on order. This is all kind of fun! But there are dozens of little pieces to sort and keep track of.
What’s in store for this newsletter:
As the This Creative Life Greater Universe expands from being just a podcast to a podcast and a book, I’m also going to be doing more writing-life newsletter posts. I hope that’s something you’ll be happy about!
If you’ve got a writing topic you’d like to see addressed in the newsletter or on the podcast, or in future books (?), ask them by replying to this email. Craft questions, publishing business questions, writing life-stuff, and adjacent topics are welcome.
